AFCON 2019: Madagascar beat Super Eagles of Nigeria

The Super Eagles on Sunday, lost 2-0 to Madagascar, in their final Group B fixture at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations. Nigeria came into the match on top of the group, following their consecutive 1-0 wins over Burundi and Guinea. Although Gernot Rohr made five changes to his starting line-up, the three-time champions were still expected to have too much for the debutants. However, Lalaina Nomenjanahary pounced on Leon Balogun’s slip in the 13th minute, to give Madagascar a shock lead. The Eagles came out fighting in the second half, but Carolus Andriamahitsinoro made it 2-0 and all but ended the encounter as a contest. Madagascar finish top with seven points, while Nigeria are runners-up with six points.

Adrien Rabiot Arrives at Juventus Ahead of Free Transfer From Paris Saint-Germain

Adrien Rabiot has arrived in Italy ahead of signing a five-year deal with Juventus.
Rabiot's contract at Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of June after both parties failed to negotiation an extension.
The midfielder fell out of favour with the French champions and failed to make a single appearance during the second half of the 2018/19 season, being relegated to the reserves by PSG boss Thomas Tuchel.
It was recently reported that Juventus had agreed personal terms with Rabiot and it now appears that the move has been set into motion.
Juventus have now posted a video on their official twitter account to confirm that Rabiot is in Italy to complete the move.
Juventus also teased his arrival by posting a cryptic tweet earlier on in the day, which simply was captioned 'ignite out tomorrow' - promising big news on July 1.
Goal have reported that Rabiot is set to carry out his medical on Monday, before he signs a five-year deal with I Bianconeri.

JUVENTUS have put Burnley winger Dwight McNeil on their watch list.

The speedy wide man, 19, was scouted when England Under-20s played in Toulon at the end of his breakthrough season at Turf Moor.

McNeil will be checked out again in pre-season games and at the start of the Premier League campaign. But the Serie A giants are considering launching a bid for the forward in August. Juve want a couple of younger players to add to a squad that usually relies on experience. The Clarets, however, will want £30million for McNeil, who was also a transfer target for Tottenham. Spurs enquired about the forward before taking Leeds whizkid Jack Clarke. McNeil was famously rejected by Manchester United for being bad at set-pieces at the age of 14. Burnley then quickly snapped up the England starlet, who flourished under the mentorship of Sean Dyche at Turf Moor last season. McNeil broke into the Clarets senior squad in December last year. And he then went on to make 20 straight Prem appearances for Dyche's men, scoring three goals and grabbing five assists.

Troost-Ekong replaces Kenneth Omeruo and the Udinese star is partnered by Leon Balogun in central defence. John Ogu will pair Oghenekaro Etebo in the midfield while Alex Iwobi sits on the bench. Odion Ighalo leads the attack and the former Watford striker is flanked by Samuel Kalu and Ahmed Musa. Super Eagles Start…

Inter prepare £75m Lukaku bid

Inter Milan will test Manchester United’s resolve for Romelu Lukaku this week with a £75m bid. New Inter boss Antonio Conte wants the striker to lead his new look attack and will offer Mauro Icardi in exchange to sweeten the deal. It remains uncertain if United are keen on Icardi but Lukaku found himself out of the United side towards the end of last season. And he has previously admitted to be being interested in a move to Italy.
